The southern belt of Nepal is known as the Terai. It is a low land covered with dense subtropical forest. Here you will find some of the most exciting safari destinations in the world. You will be going into deep jungle on elephant back or four-wheel drive to view wild animals in their natural habitat. The jungle safari activity includes canoeing, nature walks, bird watching, excursions, and visit to an ethnic Tharu village in the Jungle Safari Park. There are 14 national parks and wildlife reserves in the Kingdom. Royal Chitwan National Park (932 Sq. km.), Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve (175 sq. km.) and Royal Bardiya National Park (968 sq. km.) are most famous and popular.


  • Chitwan Jungle Safari

    Royal Chitwan National Park was declared UNESCO Natural Heritage Site in 1979. This park is situated in southern central Nepal, covering 932 sq.km covered with deciduous forests overlooking the floodplains of Narayani, Rapti and Reu rivers. The park headquarters at Kasara is 21 km drive from Bharatpur which is 20 minutes by air or 146 km by road from Kathmandu. In this park there are many Resorts hotels and lodge to accommodate.

    This famous park offers a wilderness of rich ecosystem that includes mammals, birds, reptiles and water animals of several kinds. The highlights of this park are the 500 Asian one-horned rhinoceros and some hundred nocturnal Royal Bengal tigers that live in the dense forests of the park. You will discover a lost world of towering trees and twisting vines, of pre-historic rhino and lumbering elephants, crocodile, python and deer; brilliantly colored birds and if you are fortunate - the superb Royal Bengal Tiger. Sharing home with these are other animals like rhesus monkey, grey langur, deer, leopards and wild cats etc. Another most important factor adding to the chitwan experience is the colorful Tharu Culture, their way of living, culture and tradition and heart touching Tharu Dance.   • Bardiya Jungle Safari

    Bardia National Park is located in Nepal’s western plain lands, east of the Karnali River, covering an area of 968 sq.km. It is the largest and most undisturbed protected area in the Terai, home to many endangered species including tiger, wild elephant, rhinoceros, swamp deer, blackbuck, gharial crocodile, marsh mugger crocodile and Gangetic dolphin. The enchanting birds found here are Bengal florican, lesser florican, Silver-eared mesia and Sarus Crane. The national park is full of open grasslands and glades ‘making it an ideal place for game-viewing.

    This park is famous for elephant safari or jungle drive. During jungle safari or elephant safari you will come across small herds of wild elephants. You will see rhinoceros also in the park. Here you can gain an experience of your life time. While doing the jungle safari you can observe 30 different mammals, more than 250 species of birds, and varieties of reptiles and aquatic animals.

    For pleasurable sight-seeing you should be in Sukarmala from where you can see the panoramic view of Surkhet valley and the elongating plains of the Terai. Here you will have the opportunity of for fishing masher, a large game fish.

  • Koshi Tappu Wildlife Safari

    The reserve is a wetland of international significance. In 1987, it was declared a Ramsar site. It is home to more than 280 bird species including 20 duck species, 2 species of ibises, many storks, egrets and herons. The endangered swamp partridge and Bengal florican are found here. The Koshi Barge is an extremely important resting-place for migratory birds. The last surviving population of wild buffalo or arna is found here. The reserve is also home to many types of mammals such as hog deer, spotted deer, wild boar and blue bull. The endangered Gharial crocodile and Gangetic dolphin have been recorded in the Koshi River. The vegetation mainly includes tall khar-pater grasslands with a few patches of khair-sissoo scrub forest and deciduous mixed riverine forest. During the monsoon, the reserve is flooded with depths ranging from 10 to 300 cm. From season to season the Sapta-Koshi River changes its course. Area of Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve 175 sq. km.and established: 1976. Location of Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve is situated on the flood plains of the Sapta-Koshi River in Eastern Nepal.

    Itinerary for Koshi Tappu National Park - 04 Nights / 05 Days
    Day 01 : Arrival at Kathmandu Airport. Meet & Welcome by our office representative, transfer to the Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

    Day 02 : Kathmandu - Koshi Tappu National Park: After breakfast fly to Biratnagar and drive to Koshi Tappu wildlife Reserve. After lunch bird watching tour. Overnight at Hotel.

    Day 03 :Early morning nature walk within near vicinity. After breakfast we start Raft boat ride on Sapta Koshi River with naturalist to view some of the water birds, water buffaloes, dolphins and various water habitats. End boat trip by the banks of the river and have picnic lunch. Short drive to the koshi barrage to view some bird life and fresh water dolphins. Late afternoon return to the camp.

    Day 04 : After breakfast drive to Airport and Fly to Kathmandu. Free time for shopping. Overnight at Hotel.

    Day 05 :Transfer to airport.
