Fujairah Tour

Rugged mountain ranges, lush east coast and the Indian Ocean We leave the bustling city of Dubai and drive past neighboring Sharjah and further travel a distance through Masafi, a small city that is famous for its water bottling plant and its illustrious Friday market, a type of a street side bazaar. This daily market sells to passing travelers or commuters pottery, carpets and handcrafted goods as well as fruit and vegetables at a reasonable price. It is an excellent place to shop and bargain for souvenirs. The tour leads us next to the seaport town of Dibba on the east coast, located directly on the Indian Ocean. As we drive past date and palm farms close to the Hajar Mountain Range with its contrasting silhouettes, we stop and rest at scenic spots to give you opportunities to take photos and to have a refreshing dip in the Indian Ocean at the hotel “Al Aquah”. Before we enter Fujairah for a brief city tour, we visit the Al Bidiyah Mosque, which is the country’s oldest and smallest prayer house, located below the historic watch towers, which helped in the observation of the old sea routes hundreds of years ago. The round trip in Fujairah demonstrates nevertheless the importance of its location for ships passing by on their way to South East Asia. The shipping routes through the Arabian Sea make it one of the world’s largest ship refueling and bunkering stations. Note: Lunch is not included, though a lunch break in a restaurant can be arranged on request Bring along swimwear and towel
